Erango Media Inc. ("Erango", "we") is a creative and technology company in Langley, British Columbia. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's anti-spam legislation.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us. The contact form and Wix Chat collect your name, email address and whatever you write to us. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
When you submit a film or trailer. The submission form collects your name, email address, the film's title and the links you give us. We use it to review the work and to reply with notes. The material itself is covered by our Submission Terms.
When you tick the marketing box. Some forms offer an optional box to receive occasional email about Erango services, offers and Shortrr. We email you only if you tick it, every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unticking or unsubscribing stops it.
When you browse. The site runs on Wix, which records standard visit logs, and uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. This information is aggregated and does not identify you to us. The cookie banner lets you decline analytics cookies; essential cookies that keep the site working cannot be turned off.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than the purposes above. We do not use it to train AI models.
Who sees it
Erango's directors and staff who need it to reply to you. Our service providers see what they process for us: Wix (hosting, forms, chat, email delivery) and Google (analytics). Each is bound by its own privacy terms and may store data outside Canada.
How long we keep it
Messages and submissions are kept while the conversation or review is open and for up to two years after, then deleted. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. Analytics data is kept in aggregate.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the contact below. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top is the current version.
